Troy is the county seat of Miami County, situated along the Great Miami River. It is 14 minutes south of Piqua, 27 minutes north of Dayton, and a little over an hour north of Cincinnati, making it a perfect day trip destination from multiple locations. It is 20 minutes from the Dayton International Airport, and connected to the largest paved trail system in the United States.

Hobart Urban Nature Preserve
A trail system leads you through open grasslands, beside a wetland and past four welded steel, modernist, sculptures donated from the collection of the Hobart Welding Institute. 

Twin Arch Reserve
Twin Arch has 35 acres and .7 miles of trail. It sits along the Great Miami River and is a great place for hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, canoeing and viewing wildlife. Look out for the renovated, historic Miami-Erie Canal Twin Arches.

 

Treasure Island Park
The park is designed to accommodate paddle boats, canoes, kayaks and bicyclists. Free summer concerts and other events are frequently held here. 

Lost Creek Reserve
