The Best Things To Do In Trenton

A warm welcome to one of our newest Riverway partners, the city of Trenton!

Get away from the hustle and visit this quieter hidden gem along the Great Miami Riverway. Find scenic pastoral views by visiting a historic 19th century Amish-Mennonite settlement called Chrisholm Farmstead. In the autumn, enjoy a breathtaking field of sunflowers at this property as well as farm-themed activities and demonstrations.

Chrisholm's nature play area is a popular.

Love to support local businesses and farmers? Stop by Barn-N-Bunk Farm Market. It has freshly harvested produce, Amish baked goods, and handmade décor and crafts. In addition, there are unique gift items from over 65 local vendors and craftspeople including wood, fabrics, candles, floras, baskets, furniture, and more. Don’t forget their annual fall festival, complete with pumpkin patches and tractor rides.

Baked fresh daily. Mmmmmmm.

In the mood for a local treat? Try one of the specialty donuts at Martin’s Donuts, where donuts are baked fresh daily. Martin’s Donuts is considered locally famous and is a stop on the Butler County donut trail (and for good reason). Richard’s Pizza is another local favorite, serving pizza, spaghetti dinners, and a famous steak sandwich for over 65 years!

For those cyclists working their way along the Great Miami Riverway Recreation Trail, Trenton has an access point close to the main thoroughfare with most points of interest only a 6-to-12-minute ride from the trail. At that same location is a really good drop-off point for those who enjoy kayaking.

Finally, If you just want to enjoy a great cup of coffee or tea, then head to State Street Coffee where you can order a tasting flight. This is another local favorite due to the quality of their coffee and the unique experience of ordering a flight of different teas or coffee drinks. Hey, sometimes you just can’t make up your mind.

Happy Exploring!
