Historic Peoples Federal Savings Building - Designed by famed architect Louis Sullivan (mentor to Frank Lloyd Wright) in 1917 and completed in 1918, this “jewel box” design masterpiece is home to Farmers & Merchants State Bank.
 

 

 
 
The Historic Sidney Theatre features 1930's marquee signage and hosts a wide variety of theatrical and live music performances.
 

 
Shelby County Courthouse - the 1880's French Second Empire style building is composed of four symmetrical sides, with projecting pavilions at the entries, and a classical mansard roof. It features a 170 foot center tower of galvanized iron, with four clocks. A bell, which was placed in the courthouse after its completion, still hangs there today.
 

 
 
 
The GreatStone Castle -- now a charming bed & breakfast and spa -- has overlooked downtown Sidney for 125 years. It is constructed of 18 inch thick Bedford, Indiana, limestone and features a wrap around porch supported by intricate stone columns. Three turrets give this massive structure its castle-like appearance. The detailed interior design features rare carved and machined hardwoods from many countries, transported by ship and rail.
 

 

 
Constructed in the early 1920’s, the Big Four Railroad Bridge has allowed trains safe passage through Sidney for nearly 100 years. Work began on the bridge in 1922 after a decision was made to reroute the line through the south end of the city to avoid any more tragic fatalities downtown.
