There is a lot to choose from in 99 miles so we’ve put together a few themed itineraries for you. Our Beer Trail, Parks Plus, and Unique Eats itineraries are the perfect ways to get started exploring the Great Miami Riverway.
On our Beer Trail, a refreshing craft brew is just around the corner - or just around the river bend, if you prefer. Grab a pint in any of our local craft breweries whether you are on the trail, on the river, or in our communities.
In Parks Plus, these parks offer more than quiet relaxation and a casual stroll. From a sculpture park to whitewater runs, concert arenas to kayak launches, these parks are on the extreme.
Our Unique Eats itinerary features Spanish delicacies, amazing pie, a historic downtown bakery, an internationally-known cupcake shop, pizza for kayaks, and the world's largest claw machine. And you thought meal time was only for eating.
Get your phones and cameras ready because Miami County Visitor and Convention Bureau is hosting a #MiamiCountyandMe Instagram Hashtag contest. During a series of two-week periods, a panel of judges will choose the best photo in each category as the prize winner. What do you win? A canoe trip for the family, a coffee experience at Winans, a kayak from Smith Fly, a paint class for four, a Staley Farm and Indian Creek Distillery Tour, or other prizes. In order for your photo to be selected, it must feature the category hashtag, #MiamiCountyandMe, and #HomeGrownGreat.
The Dayton Aviation Trail is a self-guided tour of selected, aviation-related sites open to the public. Receive a FREE "Wilbear Wright" aviation teddy bear when you tour a minimum of seven of the 16 amazing aviation sites, from the original Wright B Flyer to the aerospace industry at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Want a water bottle as well? Bike to six of the 12 sites and collect a stamp at each stop.
Insider Tip: the Vectren Dayton Air Show on June 23rd is right around the corner. Here’s your chance to get up close and personal with aircraft AND pilots. Did we mention the United States Navy’s Blue Angels will be there?
Grab a traveling donut companion and head out on a sweet trail in Butler County, Ohio. Follow the trail markers to find delicious donut shops and you may even encounter wild donut flavors such as S’Mores, Fruity Pebbles, Cheesecake, Maple Bacon, Banana Pudding, Orange Juice, and Pineapple Fritter.
