On Tuesday, November 30, we spoke with the Ohio Aggregates & Industrial Minerals Association, the Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks, and Thrive Companies on how a former quarry near the Scioto River has been redeveloped with residential, recreation, and commercial.
Eric Wagenbrenner of Thrive Companies, and Tim Moloney, Executive Director of Metro Parks discussed their partnership to build 700 housing units, office/retail, three mountain bike trails, and kayak/paddling opportunities on 600 acres that had been an active gravel mining site.
